In the first quarter of 2024, the leading social networking apps on iOS in Turkey exhibited diverse performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the top five apps: WhatsApp Messenger, Threads, Telegram Messenger, Facebook, and OmeTV – Video Chat Alternative.

WhatsApp Messenger started the quarter with weekly downloads of approximately 98K, peaking at 115K in early February before settling around 75K towards the end of March. Weekly active users consistently grew from 10.4M to 10.7M throughout the quarter.

Threads experienced a decline in weekly downloads, starting at 105K and dropping to 43K by the end of March. However, weekly active users showed a positive trend, increasing from 1.3M to 1.6M in mid-February, before stabilizing around 1.3M.

Telegram Messenger saw a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $17K in early March. Downloads fluctuated, beginning at 49K and ending at 55K. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, ranging between 1.7M and 1.8M.

Facebook maintained a consistent weekly download rate, averaging around 50K, with a slight dip in February. Weekly revenue varied, peaking at $5.6K in early March. Active users showed a slight decline from 12.4M to 12.1M throughout the quarter.

OmeTV – Video Chat Alternative experienced moderate revenue fluctuations, peaking at $7.5K in early January. Downloads were stable, averaging around 21K weekly. Active users increased steadily from 45K to 66K by the end of March.
